A big reveal

I can finally show some swap gifts I made for my swap buddy from my Bonnie and Camille sampler bee I am in on Instagram.  The guidelines said to spoil so away I went.  My partner Michelle is also our Queen Bee so I did a little extra as a thank you.

All wrapped ready to post.

All the gifts together.

Each handmade gift.

One hour basket.

Design board.

Hazel the Hedgehog cushion.

And my favourite

Bonnie and Camille Sampler hoop designed by me with a little bit of each of the Bonnie and Camille ranges except Hello Darling which I didn't have at the time I made this.

I also received my first block for my Bonnie and Camille Sampler.

I just love this swap.  It is so fun to give.

Until next time happy stitching.

Been a bit slack

I have been a bit slack on the blog I have had a bit of a slow down on the sewing front as I am having a big clean out and then I got a cold which turned into an ear infection.  Thankfully the antibiotics have done the trick and my ear is much better.

The cleaning results so far are six bags of clothes gone.

Hundreds of magazines in the process of going.

I have done a bit of secret sewing which I will be able to show next week.  It is in the post at the moment.  Sometimes secrets are hard to keep.

I have been to the Geelong Quilt In.  I treated myself to some fabric which I couldn't resist.

I have already cut it up and am in the process of sewing.  The quilt I am making is called Down South by Peta of She Quilts Alot.  Peta also has a great tutorial for the left over half square triangles.

This is what I made for our Gail Pan swap.

This is what I received from O'Faigh.

It is a bag for your iron and then you open it and can use it as an ironing mat.  I just love it together with my board for building blocks so all the pieces stay together and button tin.  I just love the fabrics so me.

Until next time happy stitching.

April Finishes

I managed to finish 10 things for April.  It does help when the month has public holidays and a few annual leave days.

Mini Shine designed by Sherri McConnell using Daysail.

Bonnie and Camille Hexie hoop made for a swap.

Sweet Pea designed by Camille Roskelley.  I found this and a few other things in the cupboard that I had practiced quilting on and just needed to be bound.  Sorry I don't remember the Figtree fabric range I used.

Fancy Fox cushion designed by Elizabeth Hartman again using Daysail.

Deckade the Halls quilt designed by the Fat Quarter Shop and quilted by Jemimas Creative Quilting.

Hazel Hedgehog wall hanging using Scrumptious and is now living in Spain.

Christmas Runner stitcheries designed by Helen Stubbings.

One hour basket which was in an earlier post.

Mini Vintage Tulips by Camille Roskelley using Ruby.

Lastly Vintage also designed by Camille using Vintage Modern and Ruby.  Quilted by Jemimas Creative Quilting.

Now to start working on the May projects.

Until next time happy stitching.

Friday Night with Friends

I hope everyone had an enjoyable evening sewing.

Last night I made my first Fireworks block for a quilt that I have had cut out for ages but never got around to sewing sometimes I think that is because I need to improve my skills before I start sewing.

As you can see it is a little tricky but a fun block to put together.  The pattern is by Thimble Blossoms and the fabric is Happy Go Lucky by Bonñie and Camille.

After I made this block I sewed down the binding on my Retro quilt.

I had been wanting to make this quilt ever since I got my Simply Retro book but just hadn't found the right fabric until the Daysail dots came along,  I quilted this myself during the week.

Until next time happy stitching.
