Giving Christmas in July

I just loved making Christmas gifts for the Christmas in July Swap.  My partner was Kaylee and I had a bit of a red and white theme going without realising it until the end.

All wrapped ready to post.

All the gifts I made.

Roly Poly Santas designed by the very talented Gail Pan and all fabrics are from my stash.

I can't remember the name of this pattern but I found it in an American magazine when I was sorting through all my magazines and just had to make it.  I really need to make one of these for myself it was hard to send this off.

And the last gift was a Christmas one hour basket.  This is a free pattern on Craftsy and only take an hour and are great for fat quarters.

Until next time happy sewing.

Christmas in July

Finally yesterday was opening day for Christmas in July.  I received my gifts from my lovely friend Shez of Enjoying Life.  She was so organised that when we met up in May she had my gifts ready.  I had to hide them in the cupboard so I wouldn't be tempted by them.

I hung my gift bag at the end of the bed on Friday night.

Look how beautifully wrapped they were I so need wrapping lessons.

Now here they are all opened.

Close ups.

A gorgeous Fig n Berry runner.

Shez's famous hand towels.

One of Shez's gorgeous decorations.

Some lovely extras and a beautiful handmade card.

Thank you so much Shez I just love everything you have made for me.

A big thanks to Cheryll of The Stitching Cubbyhole for hosting such a wonderful swap.

I will be back soon to show what I made.

Until next time happy stitching.

Thimble Blossoms Sampler Quilt Along

I have been participating in a quilt along organised by Chrissy of Sewlux.  It uses the four most recent Thimble Blossoms patterns and is made into a sampler quilt.  Of course I already had all the patterns as I can never decide which one I want and always want to make them all which probably isn't realistic so this was a great way to use all the patterns and now I do want to make them all.  I also have lots of Bonnie and Camille fabric no surprises there so I have had a great time pulling from my stash it doesn't seem like there is any less.

The first blocks were Lollies.

Then Piccadilly Circus.

Then the tulips from Vintage Tulips.

Then the alternate blocks from Vintage Tulips.

Then Swoon 16

And then a quilt top.

I even had the white fabric in my stash which I got on special and I have some Bonnie and Camille in my stash to use for the backing and binding so I haven't had to buy anything.

If you are interested in seeing more check out #TBScrappySamplerQAL.

Enjoy your Sunday happy sewing.
