A Productive Week

I have had a productive week working on a UFO from 2011.

I have been working on my QuiltAid quilt.  I finished the outstanding blocks.

The little frog who is so cute.

A fairy girl.

The bird house.

The centre block.

The middle row.

The top row.

The bottom row.

It is altogether.  Now just the outer borders to go including another zig zag border so I need to trim back lots of half square triangles.

During the week this lovely mail arrived.

I couldn't resist my Daysail layer cake.  I am making a pattern by Sherri McConnell called Pot Luck.  Progress so far.

One block.

Chain pieced four patches.

Until next time happy stitching.

FNSI

I pulled my Quilt Aid BOM out of the cupboard it is from 2011.  I had three blocks half done and two blocks not started, the other blocks were completed some time ago.  Yesterday I worked on the two blocks I hadn't started.  I got them all set up and even managed to do some stitching on one of them.

The fabric is Ruby by Bonnie and Camille.  I am hoping to get all the blocks completed by the end of the month.

Hope you all had a lovely time sewing and thanks to Wendy for being a lovely hostess.

Until next time happy stitching.

On a Roll

I have been on a bit of a roll finishing some things off.

Two Layer Cake Lemonade quilts for gifts.
One Scrappy Quilt.
My Whit mini quilt.
Three secret sewing projects.  Sorry no photos of these wouldn't want to spoil the surprise.

I did have Friday off work.

Whit using my favourite fabric range Scrumptious by Bonnie and Camille.

Scrappy quilt the pattern was out of Quilty magazine.

Layer Cake Lemonade using Front Porch by Jan Patek.

Layer Cake Lemonade Miss Kate version.

So pleased with what I have been able to finish, off to the next UFO that needs completing.

Until next time Happy Stitching.

Swaps

The postie has been kind this week instead of bills he brought lovely goodies.

From Michelle in Mrs Martin's swap I got this absolutely lovely topper to put on my dresser.  Michelle has used Bliss by Bonnie and Camille and an aqua solid and it goes perfectly in my bedroom.  Thank you so much Michelle it is perfect.

The front.

I love the back as well.

A close up of the quilting.

I found it hard to think of something to make for the bedroom and eventually decided on a cushion from Helen Stubbings' Simply Appliqué book which has been a great buy as I have made two projects from this book already.

I used Lexington by Minick & Simpson.  I think I need to make myself one or two of these for myself in some B & C fabrics.

The other swap parcel that arrived was my Summer mini which was made by De absolutely love it.

Thanks De.

This is the mini I made I haven't heard if it has been received as yet.

It is a design by Rosalie Quinlan and I have used some Lynette Anderson fabrics.

Thanks Cheryll for organising such a lovely swap.

Until next time happy stitching.
