Friday Night Sew In

I joined FNSI for the first time last time.

I decided to work with some Scrumptious fabric that I managed to get my hands on.  I can't wait for this range to be released just love what Bonnie & Camille do.

The pattern is by Marg Low and is called Believe.

I had the little stitcheries done during the week.  I just had to cut and sew.

A close up of all those yummy fabrics.

With the yo yos which will be attached to each end of the top.

10 yo yos down 20 to go.  I haven't decided on my backing yet do I wait for Scrumptious yardage or do I dig into the Bonnie & Camille scrap bin and find something.

The yo yos were made using the large Clover yo yo maker.  I hadn't used this before but I was very pleased with the results and it was easy to do.  Think I may have to get the small size maker as well.

Hope everyone had a great time sewing last night.  I sure did.

Until next time happy stitching.

Busy Sewing

I have been working on a few different things since last post.  I can't believe how much I have actually done.  It is nice to see progress.

First up are my L7 blocks.  This is a gift quilt for a friend of my Mum's.  Not my usual colours.

Next up is one of my Vintage blocks from Camille's Simply Retro book.  I have all the blocks done but need to trim them all back.

More stripes of scraps sewn together in preparation of a scrappy quilt.  Have been sewing a lot of stripes lately.

My final block from my Mystery quilt.  Now I just need to put the quilt together.

This is one of the projects from Girls Day Out by Libby Richardson.  I have a couple of projects from Gail Pan as well and some painting to do on Libby's other project.  Pictures hopefully will follow soon.

My first block from Cotton Way Baby Love pattern.  This will be a quilt for my cousin's baby due early next year so plenty of time to make this one.

My second block of Folk Tale Paths.

Phew!  That is it off to do some more sewing.

Until next time happy stitching

Friday Night With Friends

Well last night I joined my first Friday Night with Friends.  I haven't done anything like this before.

I couldn't decide which of my many projects I should work on.  Well actually I was hoping that the fabric I had ordered earlier in the week would arrive but alas it didn't.

I finally decided to work on one of my QFD Christmas in July projects.  This one is by Hugs & Kisses.

This is what it looked like before I started last night.

And this is how it finished at the end of the night.

Still a bit to do but it is great to see the progress.

Until next time happy stitching.
