Sorry I have been missing in action for a couple of week but you may remember that I set myself a deadline of the end of the month to complete my Life is Beautiful and with great excitement I can announce it is finished yeah yahoo!! and before the deadline with the last stitch in the binding last night. It is quite a large quilt so my photo is all the best but here it is.
A close up.
I also made this for my cousin who just had a baby Casey John.
Cute.
Now I wonder what else I can find in the stash to work on.
I am hopefully picking up my quilt on Saturday from the machine quilter so I will have binding to sew on so I will be able to snuggle under it whilst I sew since we are having another blast from the South Pole.
Until next time happy stitching

Bags
Last week I finished two bags.
This is a Cinderberry Stitches pattern called the Paris Collection. I changed the handles as I found the lovely green polka dot handles when I was in Ballarat a couple of weeks ago.
This one is a Moon Shine design called Day Tripper. I did this in a class whilst I was on leave. The fabrics were picked to match the buttons which I got in Victoria, Vancouver Island.
This isn't a bag but I have been busily working on my Life is Beautiful and am up to joining all the blocks. I am hoping to finish this by the end of the month.
Until next time happy stitching.

Sewing
I am having a couple of weeks off work so am spending some time sewing. I discovered whilst sorting out my sewing room that I have a lot of UFO's as well as many not yet started. This is what I have done so far.
From the scrap box.
All the fabrics in the quilt above came from the stash. Once I get my new machine I will have a go a quilting this one myself. Need to keep saving.
This quilt is a project from Christmas in July it is by Rachael Merrick and is called Christmas Joy. I have used the Jovial range of fabric.
This bag is from Bagalicious Club and is by Janelle Wind called Friday Girl which I finally finished.
So two more tops for the quilting pile and one fully completed bag.
Until next time happy stitching.
