Bags bags bags and a clock

It is Bagalicious Club time again.  This time it is a bag by Melanie & Me and again the fabrics are just lovely.  Not sure how I will go on this one as there are gathers and pleats but I will give it go.

I have finally sewn on the handles for Just Darling one of the patterns I got from Inspired Stitches.  It is designed by Natlalie Lymer of Cinderberry Stitches.

Natalie is one of my favourite designers if you couldn't tell.

I have also made this bag which is a Hugs n Kisses design.  It was so easy to make just need someone with some muscle to get the buttons in a bit tighter.  Off to the weights room for me.

I have used Meadowsweet 2 fabric range which is just beautiful.

Lastly today is my clock which is designed by Natalie Ross in Stitches another of my favourite designers.  I just love it.  I need to get a cord so I can hang it up.

Until next time happy stitching.

Christmas in July and Other Sewing

Just a big thank you to the ladies from Christmas in July who have posted such lovely comments.  I hope you are all having as much fun as I am.

I have now made the Santa Placement.  It is a bit hard to see in the photo because of the pale colour.

I am working on Sarah's Christmas Tree at the moment.

I spent most of my sewing time this week sewing on binding.  This is the fully completed Elephant Quilt.

A close up

I just love these fabrics.

I also made up my Christmas Wish Reindeer.

This is the inside.

You can put all your Christmas cards, pens, stamps etc. inside ready for writing them out at Christmas time.  Thanks Gail Pan for such a wonderful pattern and easy to follow instructions.

It was also block of the month class yesterday and this is my progress so far.

I need to start cutting out the fabric borders which I am using from the stash.

The dilema I am having is what project to work on and not having enough time.

Until next time happy stitching.

Christmas in July

I am having so much fun participating in Christmas in July.  There have been so many great projects to make if only there was enough time to do everything may have to give the housework a miss for the rest of the month.  This is what I have done so far.

Merry Christmas Gift Bag this pattern is by Melissa Goodsell who is a member of the QFD Creative Team.  I have used the gift bag from Inspired Stitches and fabric from the stash.  In a moment of maddess I stitched the present onto the bag using metallic thread which made it a little difficult but it went with the fabric.

This is my version so far of Gail Pan's This Christmas Night I just need to wait for the ric rac to arrive at the end of the month.  This fabric is all from the stash as well.

I am also working on another of the Christmas projects which I will show next time.

I have also made this.

It is bag 4 from Bagalicious Club this one was designed by Helen Stubbings and so easy to put together.  I am thinking about making one for one of my sisters for Christmas using different fabrics as it doesn't use much fabric.  I still have bag 3 to make  and bag 5 is due to arrive shortly.

Until next time happy stitching.

Christmas in July

What an exciting week this has been with Christmas in July beginning with fun, games, chats and projects.

This is the first project that was released.  It is designed by Gail Pan.

It will eventually become a wall hanging.  I am using different fabrics to what Gail used so I changed the thread colour to go with the fabrics from my stash.

Because I got side tracked by Christmas in July I didn't finish Anttitude until yesterday.

Instead of red and white in the original I have used cream and green for the checker board.  The checker board took a while with all the seams to try and match.  It will now go into the waiting to get professionally quilted pile.  I will have to start putting some money aside to get some more of my quilt tops done.  If only there was a money tree in the garden.
