Happy New Year

Just a little post to wish everyone a Happy New Year.  May your year be full of lots of stitching and most importantly good health.

My New Year's Resolution is to try and finish at least one project a month.  I will have to do some extras for when I am away and won't be stitching.  I would resolve not to buy any more projects but all these lovely designers keep creating great things to tempt me so I am not going to bother with that one.

Happy New Year!!!

My Christmas Day

I thought I would show you all some of the pictures from my Christmas.  We had such a lovely day but ate way too much.

Firstly I received this gift in the post from Shirley in London for the Christmas in July Swap.

Thanks so much Shirley its great.  I am going to use the fabric to make another camera case.

This is my parents with all their grandchildren.

This is me we my nephews Thomas in the yellow top, Joshua in the grey and my niece Mikayla (aka Little).

This is some of my extended family.  My sister Robyn in the red apron hosted Christmas lunch this year.  Thanks Robyn and Chris for such a great day.

And it wouldn't be Christmas without "Mini Santa".  It is a family tradition that someone dresses up as Santa.  Most of us have had a turn and now it has been handed done to my eight year old niece Nikita who did a great job Ho Ho Ho.

This is my cousin Stuart who is really pleased with his present from Santa.  Matthew Hayden's book if only he could come back and play for Australia again most needed.  Congratulations to the English Team.

Yesterday we took my eldest niece Sarsha to see Mary Poppins the Musical which we gave her as a Christmas gift.  It was great and I can highly recommend it.

Next time I will show some stitching.  I just need to put the binding on Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Until next time Happy Stitching

Christmas Stitching

I have been busy with some Christmas stitching.

Have a look.

This is my Twas the Night before Christmas designed by Helen Stubbings of Hugs n Kisses.  It was so much fun to make so now up to the quilting which I am going to do myself as it isn't too big for my machine.

Christmas Time for Teddy Bears by Teddlywinks which I purchased last year and had done most of the stitching so now it is a top also ready for quilting.  Now I just have to crawl around the floor to do my quilt sandwiches.

Okay this one isn't Christmas but it is entirely finished and quilted all by me.  Springtime Butterflies designed by Gail Pan.  I might have to snuggle under it tonight as the weather has turned a bit cooler but not as cold as England with all that snow.  I hope everyone is keeping warm and staying safe.

Until next time happy stitching

P.S.  Have you got your New Years Resolutions ready.  I have the same one every year to complete my UFO's not sure that I am entirely successful.

O'Christmas Tree

This morning I put up my Christmas Tree and decorated my place.

I really enjoy putting up the Christmas Tree and checking out all my decorations and remembering where the came from or when I made it and thinking oh this is my favourite and then pulling the next one out and thinking no this my favourite.

I decorated my box you can see my new table runner peeking through all the decorations.  I have been making it over the past couple of weeks.

Another Cinderberry Stitches design this one is called Christmas Belles and I have done it in my latest favourite fabric range Bliss by Bonnie and Camille for Moda.  I have more of this fabric so I have another two quilts I am going to use it in.

This is my Christmas Sack waiting for Santa I have been very good.  It is a Hugs n Kisses design which featured in Homespun a few years ago.  It was alot of work but I just love it.

And finally my Christmas Wreath by Janelle Wind which was one of our Christmas in July patterns hanging proudly on my front door.

Well I hope this has got you in the festive mood.  I even played Christmas Carols while decorating one of our papers had a free Michael Buble CD with Christmas songs yesterday so I made sure I got a copy.  He is one of my favourite singers.

Now all I need to do is write my cards and wrap my presents.  Then I can put my feet up and relax with some stitching.

Until next time happy stitching.
