The Mission

This is what I have finished this month

A bag by Cinderberry Stitches.  You can probably guest this is one of my favourite designers.

And this project I have completed the stitching.

This is by Angels in Disguise and is a set of three called Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day.  I have had them for ages and there is a lot of work in them.  One down two to go.

And lastly this one is not completed yet but was what I was working on yesterday in my UFO class.

It is called Stars Shine Bright by Raggedy Stitches and is another project I have had for a while.  The stars are fold fabric and are in the process of being appliqued onto the background.

Until next time happy stitching.

Block of the Month

I have been busy stitching my blocks and am pleased to say the stitching is finished.

I just have to choose some fabric for the borders the three stitcheries get sewn together to form one block.  Not long until the next class just a couple of weeks away.

I have some sample stitching to do for Sarah at Quilt Fabric Delights Visit Sarah's blog It is a secret at the moment but all will be revealed in the coming months. Stay tuned.

I was just getting on the computer for a little while this afternoon but I have been messing around with this post for ages now must get back to my sewing.

Until next time happy stitching.

Block of the Month

Today I started back at my craft classes for this year.  The block of the month pattern I am doing is Cinderberry Stitches Tail Feathers.  This is the first block progress so far

I am going to use fabrics from my stash for the borders.  I will keep you updated as to the progress.  The birds are so cute.  I just love the Cinderberry designs.

I haven't progressed very far with my bag making I have only managed to cut it out.  The weather this week has been hot and humid and not good sewing weather then on Thursday there was a big storm and when I arrived home I had no power I had to get my torch out and read my Homespun magazine by torch light.

Unit next time happy stitching.

Presents and Post

This week I have been very lucky.  When I went to work on Monday my friend MO gave me this.

Aren't they pretty.  What a nice friend I have.  I am not sure what I am going to make with them yet.

In the post from Bronwyn Hayes I received this as a thank you gift.

I can't wait to use the threads (any suggestions as to what I can stitch with them) and the soap smells so nice.  You can Visit Bronwyn's blog to see her wonderful designs.

Lastly I received this

My first bag kit for the Bagalicious Club.  I love the fabrics so guest what I am doing this afternoon.

Until next time happy stitching and for me bag making.

The Mission

This year I have decided that I must make progress on all my UFO's so I have a mission to finish at least one thing a month.  For January I achieved my aim with the two bags from my first post (okay they were completely new) but I did finish off another bag.  You will have to wait to see this as it is a gift for a friend.

At the end of each month I will give a report as to how I have gone with "the mission".  Hopefully it will inspire you to get out those old projects sitting in the cupboard and complete them.  Let me know how you go.

Until next time happy stitching.
